a few favorites from our morning

at the beach! With the humidity as high as it was...starting the day off by staying cool was great! the beach was fairly empty and I could just concentrate on being with the kids! We stayed for just over an hour but had a good time anyway!

they did it!

both Brett and Lucas got their swimming badges...they were excited! and I was very proud of how far they've come since last year! Here are a few of my favorite pics! (i only brought my camera on the very last day!)

one week

of holidays is over...when i look back i must say, it's been a pretty good week...staying up late and sleeping in...not planning much for my days but just having fun with the kids...keeping cool...hanging out....

today is the day

that my baby is TWO! Wow, hard to believe. :) I just love the "welcome" that Brett drew for Jorja's party on Sunday. Love the way they celebrate their sister!

a photo a day...

for the month of July. I posted a challenge to the girls over at MSS...and I have faithfully remembered to take a picture every day so far. I don't necessarily want them to be "picture perfect" or anything...but something that was representative of how we spent our days. :) This is what I've got so far, with the exception of waiting to get a picture of us at the drive-in on the 1st from my sister...(and at the end of the 31 days I want to make a little mini-book for the kids to look at!).

off to a good start!

We had a great July long weekend! It started out with Bevin taking Saturday off (which meant 2 days of having him home!) :) We got a lot of stuff done around the house and just relaxed together...watching movies late at night, sitting out on the deck, having a fire...nice! And on Sunday night Brett and I joined mom and Amy and went to the drive-in! So fun! (and I'm still waiting for Amy to email me the pics she took! ;) Nice to bump into some MSS friends too! And then Monday, Amy and I took the kids to Winkler for their carnival. Jorja enjoyed her first train ride, the boys loved all the activities and the free cotton candy! Hope yours was fun too! :)
