growing up too fast...

Jorja just loves her "big friend" Taylor (or "tay er" as she calls her)...so when Taylor asked if she could come for a sleepover during the Christmas break, I had to say yes! Jorja and Taylor played, and played, and played!!! From dress up to ponies, to movies, books and puzzles, these girls had fun! Where Taylor went, Jorja followed. So thankful for such good friends. :)

p.s. Taylor, you forgot your toothbrush here! ;)

Candy CAMES and Concerts!

this little girl thinks that CANDY CAMES (that's how she says it!) are the best part of Christmas!

and here's our boys on concert night! I went to their concert this afternoon (they do it twice) and they did such a great job! Lucas was narrarator and Brett was a toy soldier...so cute...and memorized their lines perfectly! :)

and this is a bit of what we've been doing! Building this gingerbread house earned me the "best mom ever" title! :)


and this was Jorja today after church. totally loving the snow! Her favorite thing to do is to throw it up in the air while saying "hallelujah!" I have no idea why she does this...but she's two...any questions??? ;)

it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

especially with the LOAD of snow we just got...and the Christmas tree that just came into the house yesterday! :) Our first year ever having a real tree! Smells so good! Decorated it with the kids after school today...even Jorja loved being a part of the activity!

for reminding me to update the blog! :) This week has been a busy one...from hosting a retirement party for my co-worker, to having extra kids for night, decorating for Christmas, celebrating Bevin's birthday and watching the boys play hockey...a full but fun week!

i am just loving Christmas lights and candles these days! :)

happy birthday hon! sorry the Bombers didn't win the cup...and that you got called in to work...and that you had to miss hockey...saving some cake for you! :) love you!

for all the words of encouragement and support. it means so much to me. :) there's really not much to report as of yet but i find myself letting go of the stress that was work related and relaxing in the moment at home. does that make sense? and i have been keeping busy...super busy...

Bevin and I went to Grand Forks to celebrate our birthdays. totally relaxed! love that time we get to spend together. thanks to my mom who spent the night at our place so that we could do this! and yesterday mom and i zipped off to Wpg. for the day and got a good start on our Christmas shopping. so much fun to spend the day together! it had been WWWAAAAYYYY too long!

and so tonite i'm heading off to church where we are having a "ladies evening out" of scrapbooking and fellowship. and so i'll leave you with a few of my most recent scrapbooking layouts:

time for a change and after following my heart, listening to the advice of family and friends, and the cute words of my daughter "tay home mommy!" i have decided to quit my job as a dental assistant and stay at home with the kids...for now. looking forward to all the rewards it has to offer! *stay tuned*

pictures n' other stuff

with some beautiful weather we were able to get some family pictures down by the beach. A friend through MSS, Kristel, got some great shots of us, individually and as a family. I'll be placing my order for those today...but then we went again to take a few more...i'll share some of those here.
Soccer will be finished at the end of this week. I just love this picture! Brett is #6. It has been so much fun watching the boys play!
And of course, will "fall" officially here, the pumpkin patch pictures have begun!!! Fall is my absolute favorite time of year...this was my favorite pic taken the other day at Leigh's nephews pumpkin patch!
And in other news: Jorja has decided that it is time to be a "big girl" and now is the proud owner of Dora undies. She is really doing well in that department!!! YAY!!! :)

first days of school

have gone well! :) Both boys have enjoyed their new teachers and classrooms. It sure is different having Lucas gone for the full day. But he was ready. And they love riding the bus to AND from school together now!
