the rain finally stopped...

and it gave us a chance to get outside and have some fun!! :) Here are a few of my favorites from today.

We took at least 90 pictures and I think Cori got a few to work with! Seeing the end result is always fun! This is the second quilt that Jorja has been able to "model" for. So fun! Thanks Cori for the opportunity! :)

Mother's Day

Had a full weekend. Started off with a fondue at my sister's place...very yummy! We had lots of fun...preparing the food together...talking...and doing "masks." Amy brought out these amazing facial masks from "LUSH" in Wpg. (only to be found at Polo Park) WoW! Our skin felt wonderful...got a bunch of hilarious pics too! (they'd kill me if I posted them...right Arlene???) The next night they all came over to our place for a BBQ...my mom makes the most amazing potato salad... :) and of course, we took a bunch of pictures! (how could we not??? it is such a pretty tree ;)

And of course, I tried to get a pic with my kids...this was about as good as it got! :( Oh well, I did get one with each of them that turned out a lot better! :)

Jorja joined right in on the backyard baseball! Poor Auntie Arlene was feeling a little exhausted after this hard core ball game! And then, to cap off the evening, Mom and I went for a little "cruise." She called me a maniac ;O ... I'm a little hurt. ;) Hope you had fun Mom! And again...thanks for all you do!

Frogs. Fun. Flowers.

Found a frog the other day...the boys were thrilled and so was Jorja. We made "spidey" a special home and Jorja carried the pail around like a little purse. Too funny :) I cannot stand the things...totally freaks me out. The boys were going to take Spidey to school for show & tell the next day but Spidey escaped due to a loose ice-cream pail lid. It was a sad morning :( The slides at the local park are the perfect size for little Miss J. She and I went UP and DOWN many, many times. I see many more park dates in our future!and finally, a LOT earlier than usual I visited the local Greenhouse and picked up some of my FAVES...gerber daisies! Orange and red - so pretty on the deck! (though they are in my kitchen right now...only in Manitoba do we go from a 30 degree day to 3 degrees at night and today isn't much warmer! Oh well...they should make it outside tomorrow when the temp. gets back up to the 20's! :)

Random thoughts...

Jorja and her one and only cousin...they loved having Grandpa pull them on this GT racer. (Grandpa thought they weighed a ton...Jorja just kept her foot on the brake!) I hope these two will grow up to be close...they are so cute together!

My favorite pic (so far) of Jorja this Spring. Taking pictures of her hasn't been easy...I think I bribed her here...she wanted me to open the door to the garage to get the tricycle...I told her she needed to say "cheese" first! I can't believe how well she understands the things we tell her. Amazes me daily!

And a few more surprises in my front flower bed. I am actually amazed at how well these pictures turned out! And considering that tulips are my moms favorite...I just had to post a couple pics of them! The newness of Spring is so beautiful.
