gratitude.

We have so much to be thankful for. And on days when the sun doesn't seem too sunny, it really is important to look at how good life really is. Inspired by Ali's list of things she too is grateful for on the grouchiest of days...here's mine...

1) that I can still be in my housecoat on a Saturday morning b/c Bevin took Brett to hockey.
2) that Jorja goes down for her naps so easily.
3) that a friend is willing to pick Lucas up from the birthday party so I don't have to go out this afternoon.
4) for my 2nd mocha of the morning. :)
5) that I can take my mom for a pedicure. because I still have my mom.
6) that laundry is so easy to do.
7) for homemade pizza. and that a friend is coming for supper today.
8) for friends who love scrapbooking as much as I do!
9) for our home.
10) for a God who loves me regardless of my screw-ups.

tonite...

my friend Marcy was planning to come over and scrapbook with me. Unfortunately it didn't work out...and so...i decided to "lift" one of her newest layouts from the MSS gallery. I just loved it! Mine didn't turn out exactly as I had envisioned it but it was a great way to use up some embellishments that I have had for a while! This is what I came up with..(thanks Marcy!)

Hopefully one of these days she can inspire me IRL!!! :) And so as I was looking through some older layouts I came across the one I did for Lucas when he turned five. I love comparison-type layouts and so I thought I'd also post the one I just did yesterday of his sixth birthday! He is growing up so fast!

Impressed...

with this movie! I rented it last night for Bevin and the boys to watch while I went out to scrapbook. They all loved it and we watched it again this morning. It was a wonderful family movie to watch...I didn't even realize when renting it how faith building it was. I rented it because it was a "sports" movie and was rated "G." I was just thrilled that movies like these can still be rented from the local video store. I would certainly recommend this movie to anyone. I loved watching it with my boys!

Connecting...

with her Papa. This makes me so happy. A while ago she scowled at him every time he came near...and so he had to love her from afar. Mom and Dad looked after Jorja Sunday night so that Bevin and I could take the boys to Boston Pizza for supper. We wanted to focus on the boys and not have to worry about her in the restaurant. Mom captured this moment. Of Jorja completely relaxed in Papa's arms. Nineteen months old today. Love seeing the two of them together.
